Our work would not be possible without gifts

to provide educational, cultural, social and recreational opportunities
to our community and keep the doors wide open to a staggering
250,000 visits each year.
Your donations helped to cover the cost of operating expenses
not covered by class registration fees, revenue from our rental
facilities and fitness centre membership income. Needless to
say, the Winnetka Community House receives no tax dollars and
no projected agency support. It is your philanthropic support
that sustains us year after year. Below are just a few ways
in which your gift has impact.
When Sarah entered
ballet ten years ago, she was clumsy and would day dream in
class. Today she is still dancing with the Winnetka Dance Center
and now has more discipline and sees the whole experience as
life changing.
Siblings Tim and Cindy grew up at the Winnetka Community House.
They lived just across the street. Today Tim lives in Skokie
and has two children of his own. One day he admitted to his
mother that he wished there was a Community House in his neighborhood
in which to help nurture his children.
Elinor
went to the doctor because she was having a hard time walking.
Her Doctor explained that she needed to start exercising. Elinor,
now 91, joined the Fitness Centre and is happy walking on the
treadmill.
With your help, we accomplished worthwhile things. And with
your further generous support, we can do even more. But without
your help, we won’t accomplish nearly as much.
