Children’s Theatre Of Winnetka
(847) 446–2108 www.childrenstheatrewinnetka.com The Children’s Theatre of Winnetka is a non–profit, volunteer organization dedicated to promoting theatrical experiences for area youth, grades 4–8. Children participate both on stage and backstage in two productions annually, fall and spring. Only children who reside within the New Trier Township will be cast. Scholarships are available.
The Village Follies, a variety show of music, dance and comedy, has its proud origins as the Winnetka Woman’s Club Show. For the last 50 years, The Winnetka Community House (WCH) has been our home and the recipient of 100% of our working profits. The show is open to adults of any age and talent level. Our cast and crew are comprised of talented first–timers, as well as experienced performers. Auditions are scheduled this year for Saturday, December 6 from 4:00-7:00pm at the WCH and are open to all. WE CAST EVERYONE WHO AUDITIONS! The 2015 show, “Anything Shows,” will be performed the weekends of March 13-14 and 19-21. All performances are “Cabaret Style” – like Ravinia indoors! Patrons bring their own food and beverages and/or take advantage of our well-stocked bar. We rehearse individual numbers January through March on Saturday mornings and Wednesday nights, with some Sunday afternoons closer to show time. Please join us! If you are shy but want to try, we will cast you in the background. If you love to perform, we will put you out front! Our mission statement is TO HAVE FUN AND PUT ON A GOOD SHOW TO BENEFIT THE WCH!
