Our ceramics studio offers a variety of classes for kids and adults. Have a fun time with a new art or practice your skills and learn from our great instructors.

Amazing Art combines all your favorite art projects and mixed media in one unique class. Kids will make tie dye shirts (to be used as art smocks for the session), experience pottery painting, create fired ceramic arts, paint a canvas acrylic painting, do recycled arts projects and more. Lessons will include concepts and techniques kids can use for a lifetime and the experience of creating awesome projects will result in great self esteem and a sense of accomplishment. Finished work will be taken home immediately. This is a drop off program. All new lessons are offered each session.

Introduce your child to the wonderful world of clay. In this class, children will use a variety of techniques to create clay masterpieces. Most of all, they will have fun!

From a lump of clay to finished vessel, all the steps of centering, shaping, trimming, decorating and glazing are covered during the semester. All adults are welcome : from complete novice through more experienced. Beginners concentrate on making, decorating and glazing basic forms both functional or non-functional. Students with previous experience may advance at their own pace, learning more complex forms and glazing techniques.

Combine the basic techniques of hand sewing and machine sewing in this 8 week course. You'll learn basic stitch techniques by hand and you'll learn how to use the sewing machine. By the end of the class, you will have completed at least two different projects, one by hand and one by machine. Sewing supplies, including fabric, thread, needles, and pins, will be provided. Students may choose to purchase additional specialty items on their own.

This class is a continuation of Fashion Sewing Techniques. Students will continue to learn about the sewing machine and they will learn about pattern production. By the end of this course students will have completed at least one apparel project on the sewing machine, such as a shirt, pants, vest, etc. This class is perfect for students looking to advance their sewing skills. Sewing supplies, including fabric, thread, needles, and pins, will be provided. Students may choose to purchase additional specialty items on their own. Skill Level: (must have completed Fashion Sewing Techniques or know how to use the sewing machine)

In this adult sewing class, you'll learn the basics of clothing patterns and production. You will have the opportunity to brush-up on hand stitches and review the sewing machine. By the end of the course, you will have created an article of clothing of your choice. This is the ideal class for a beginner or advanced sewer. If students have their own sewing machines, they are encouraged to bring it. If not, sewing machines will be provided. Basic sewing materials will be provided; but students will need to purchase their own patterns and fabric.

Monica O'Connor teaches a spectacularly fun class that includes strengthening, toning and fabulous choreography drawn from our rich American Musical history, including favorite shows such as: Chicago, Chorus Line, Lion King, West Side Story, Guys and Dolls.... No dance experience necessary, just be ready to have fun and get strong! Come try this fantastic class. You will dance through the rest of your day!

Learn how to create decorative and functional pieces such as bowls, mugs, vases, trays and sculptures. Try various clay techniques such as pinching, coiling, slab rolling, carving, stamping, screen printing, sgraffito and slip decoration. Create beautiful pieces that will be fired, glazed and ready to take home and enjoy. No experience is necessary!

Small hands have big ideas. Let's build them! We will try throwing on the wheel, learn how to coil and slab build, and combine them for maximum creativity.

Stories, Art & Play is a preschool/kindergarten program where children use a variety of mixed-media materials to create their individual expressive artwork. At the beginning of each class students have the opportunity to free draw from their own imagination. A story is read from a wonderfully illustrated children?s book to begin each lesson. Famous artists are also introduced along with materials and the creative process begins. In this mixed media class, we will use watercolors, tempera paint, oil pastels and more! This open ended art curriculum celebrates individuality and free expression. A new project every week!

For the maturing maker, this class will focus on developing student ideas to create fulfilled objects from clay. Students will learn hand building techniques such as slab, coil and pinching as well as throwing on the wheel to form a repertoire of construction techniques useful throughout the artist's career. Unstructured play and exploration of materials and techniques are highly encouraged!

Learn to throw on the potter's wheel. This class will teach young students how to center, shape, trim, decorate and glaze their unique clay masterpieces. No experience is necessary.

Jump into the magical world of musical theatre by exploring acting, singing and choreography in preparation for the big show! By the end of class, you?ll be ready to take center stage and shine as one of the stars in 101 Dalmations.! Each cast member will receive a script for practice at home. This three week summer program includes preparing a spectacular show for family and friends. Highlights of the summer program include: audition technique, stage vs. film auditioning, prop and costume design, vocal technique, improvisation, discovering choreography, set and lighting design, directing and much, much more.
